Quartz infrared
The quartz Infrared (IR) emitters are produced in different configurations, in terms of Radiant power and dimensions. Barzan Infrarossi is able to build types of emitters based on the required specifications and provides the product most suitable for each type of use.
Quartz infrared irradiators are highly energy efficient.
They are built of a quartz glass casing that is perfectly transparent to infrared rays and that contains an Ni-Cr or Tungsten heating element.
Quartz irradiators can have wave lengths that vary between 4 and 0.9 micrometers.
It has an operating temperature of up to 3000° C.
Advantages of quartz infrared (IR) emitters
- Reaching the target temperature in a short period of time.
- Quick response to power changes.
- High energy efficiency and savings.
- Does not move dust and does not produce odours.
- Long lasting.
Construction types
- The quartz tubes may be in transparent or translucent quartz.
- Produced in single or dual tubes.
- The diameters vary between 10mm and 20mm for a single tube and 23x11 to 33x16 for the dual tube
- Length varies between 40mm and 3800mm.
- It is possible to create curved lamps based on

Lamp shielding materials (IR)
The shielding film on the side that does not irradiate heat is in Gold or Ceramic.
Dual pipe lamp connection systems
(Installation notes)
The short wave infrared lamps MUST be installed in a HORIZONTAL position. Upon request, models can also be supplied for use in a vertical position.
The quartz casing guarantees a low expansion coefficient and a high fusion point. However, if the temperature of the lamp terminals exceeds 250 degrees, a suitable cooling system is necessary. Also the heated area must not exceed a temperature of 800 degrees, because the gold-plating could disappear.
The lamps must be installed using the specific fasteners that are placed at the ends of the lamps on the unheated section. Turning on the lamp involves a breakaway starting current that is approximately ten times the rated current. This is eliminated by means of regulators with a "SOFT'-START" automatism.
These regulators are provided upon simple request. The lamps must not irradiate each other.
